The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Every act of worship has its period of enthusiasm and its period of weariness…” Source: Sunan Ibn Mājah, 4245 – authentic (ṣaḥīḥ) according to al-Albānī.
This hadith alone proves that dips in eeman are normal, and Allah does not expect us to maintain a constant “high.”
When you start to struggle and feel the distance from Your Rabb, it’s your signal from your heart saying:
“Slow down and return.”
How to Begin
1. Keep your worship small but sincere
Even one verse recited slowly can soften a tired heart.
2. Sprinkle dhikr into your routine
While cooking, walking, or resting let “Astaghfirullah” find you.
3. Talk to Allah without formality
Tell Him what hurts. Tell Him what feels heavy. Tell Him what you don’t know how to fix.
4. Replace guilt with gratitude
Instead of: “I’m so far.” Try: “Ya Allah, thank You for pulling me back.”
